Polar Inertia ~ “mobility outweighs monumentality”
29 03 2008
It is possible today to live on wheels, to be completely transient and yet remain completely connected. Thousands upon thousands of Americans live, with no specific geographic boundaries, in RVs.
One goal of DK Design is to take a portion of the business on the road. To have a mobile office/studio which would allow us to travel to our clients or simply explore new opportunities and remain connected. Up until just recently it wasn’t feasible. Technology and the lack of connectability made it impossible. However today, new advances in wireless are changing everything.
Polar Inertia is Ted Kane’s study of the sweeping changes that mobility and networked communications are making in cities today.
The book and its topic are a work of art.
